In the fashion industry, the “Care Label” is legally required. It tells the consumer how to wash the garment and where it was made.
But here is the challenge: This label goes through the washing machine, the dryer, and sometimes the dry cleaner—dozens of times.
If you use a standard “Industrial Resin” (designed for polyester labels), the text will often crack or fade after 5 wash cycles.
You need a specialized Textile Resin (Wash Care Ribbon).
At Only Imaging, our Textile Series is engineered specifically to bond with the fabric fibers of Nylon and Satin.
Nylon Taffeta: The papery, cheaper material. Requires a resin that can fill its rough texture.
Polyester Satin: The silky, soft material. Requires a resin that bonds to the smooth, slippery surface without smudging.
Only Imaging D35 Resin: Our universal formulation works on both.
A true Wash Care ribbon must pass rigorous testing:
Home Laundry: 40°C – 60°C water with detergent (20+ cycles).
Dry Cleaning: Resistance to Perchloroethylene (the harsh solvent used by dry cleaners).
Ironing: Resistance to 150°C heat (so the label doesn’t melt onto the iron).
Stone Wash: (For denim brands) Extreme abrasion resistance.
Because these labels touch the skin, the ribbon must be certified free of harmful chemicals. Only Imaging Textile Ribbons are Halogen Free and meet Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I (safe for baby clothes).
A faded care label makes a garment look old and cheap. Ensure your washing instructions last as long as the shirt itself.
