1. Static Electricity
At high speeds, friction generates static. Cheap ribbons lack a proper anti-static back coating. This causes the ribbon to stick to the label or the printhead, leading to “voids” (white lines) in the barcode.

Coated vs. Uncoated Paper
Most shipping labels are Uncoated Direct Thermal or Thermal Transfer Paper.

For Coated (Semi-Gloss) Paper: Use our Premium Wax. It contains a tiny percentage of resin to prevent smudging during conveyor belt friction.
